Well a few things have happened in the last few days. For one, ATT Uverse was installed and is working way better than Time Warner ever had. Another thing, I think I have made the decision to use Python for my learning and projects. And the last thing that I have started to go over, is Harvard CS50 2015.
So for Uverse we ordered the 24 down package. The performance of this against the performance of the 25 down of Time Warner is actually kind of shocking. Time Warner I would be lucky to get about 21 or so at a max down, and if lucky 2 up, almost never reached the true 25 down and 2 up, however, when using Uverse the first couple times I’ve done speed tests on it, I have gotten between 24 down and 30 down, to a huge 4 to 5 up. I enjoy having a good upload speed. Beyond this the responsiveness just feels better.
Next, the reason for Python, or more specific, Python 3, is a few different reasons. The first main reason this has been brought up is my company looking at switching our testing suite over to Python. I have always been a back and forth person on Python, but understand why it’s become the Administrator programming language, which will work nice for many things. SEE Update
And last, CS50. This has been something I’ve wanted to look at doing and listening and watching the lectures for a long time. I will even try to do some of the assignments and work that is there so I can try and learn it. Along with this I do still have my other two classes at this moment, Physic II w/ lab and Technical Writing.
Like they say, never stop learning, it keeps you young.
